We are very excited to announce that Clos du Soleil is now officially “Biosphere Committed”!
We, along with more than 70 other companies in the Thompson Okanagan region, have joined the Biosphere Commitment Program, in association with the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association.
What is the Biosphere Commitment Program?
The Biosphere Commitment Program is an internationally recognized certification body which recognizes and promotes sustainable tourism around the world. As a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the Biosphere system is aligned with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris COP21 Accord to Fight Climate Change. The program also works closely with GreenStep (an eco-efficiency program), and go2HR.
In short, by joining forces and encouraging companies like Clos du Soleil to do the same, we are all working towards a common goal: to help fight climate change and encourage sustainable development that is aligned with best environmental practices.

Given our ongoing, long-term commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices, becoming a Biosphere Committed Company was a no-brainer for our team.
With all of our vineyards certified organic (or in the transition process), this is just one more way we can show our love for the environment and the world we live in. Our commitment to the Biosphere program will help us further develop our long-term commitment to environmentalism and we are delighted to see so many Thompson Okanagan region companies joining the fray!
